Drawing inspiration from literature, my work is about documenting and sustaining narratives in a pictorial form. I like to dissect and reconstruct points of interest in a story and observe how it can develop into an abstract or curious composition. Where stories were traditionally used for cultivating social and moral values, I hope that my pictorial responses inspire, enchant and encourage new narratives.

The most significant elements in my work are stitch and colour, and both are influenced organically and perceptively by the genre of the story. I am continually trying to challenge my use of stitch and adhere to contemporary colour schemes.
